Randy got his start as a welder helper on the pipeline before joining C&J in 2009, where he took his first weld test and passed. Years later, that test has turned into a career that’s touched nearly every corner of the shop floor.

Randy worked his way from structural welder to lead to supervisor, starting out overseeing a crew of 12 welders. Today he manages more than 150 as the Structural Welding Manager. Along the way he’s supervised Code, Yard, Paint, and Saw Cut. “I’ve done just about everything,” he says, and it shows.

Ask Randy what the C&J standard means to him, and he doesn’t hesitate: “It has to be the best. There’s no other option.” What keeps him here after 16 years is teaching the trade. He remembers being the intimidated new welder himself, and there’s nothing like watching someone learn the job and then teaching them to do it faster. He’s watched the company grow from shipping 5 skids a week to 80, and he thrives on the pace. When something breaks down or there’s a problem to be solved and everyone else throws in the towel, you start hearing people yell, “Call Randy!”

Looking ahead, Randy’s excited about where technology is taking the trade, and he sees no end to what there is to learn. He’s grateful for the education C&J invests in him and the trust the company puts in his hands every day.

Esperansa joined the company on February 20, 2025, as an Administrative Assistant. From the beginning, she quickly became known for her reliability, resourcefulness, and willingness to do whatever it takes to support the team. Her dedication and strong work ethic led to her promotion to HR Generalist in February 2026.

Today, Esperansa is an absolutely key part of our HR function and one of the most trusted people in our organization. Whether she is supporting employees, navigating a new process, or tackling an unfamiliar task, Esperansa approaches every challenge with determination and care. She has a remarkable ability to figure things out, even if it means reverse-engineering a process from the ground up to make sure the job gets done right.

Tommy joined C&J in 2005, just looking for work. What started as a job turned into a career he’s built his life around, growing right alongside the company through every stage of its growth.

Today, Tommy serves as MPS Supervisor, where his experience and steady hand keep things moving even on the busiest days. Ask him why he’s stuck around this long, and he’ll tell you it’s simple: the company has been good to him, and he genuinely loves the chaos and unpredictability that comes with every day on the floor. It’s that mindset that makes him one of the best in the business.

With C&J’s rapid growth, Tommy is excited for what’s ahead; more people, more work, and more opportunity for the team he’s helped build. His advice to anyone considering joining C&J is straightforward: come ready to do the job right, roll with the punches, and give it your best. Do that, he says, and this place can become more than a job, it can become a home and a career.
